Job Family Definition:
Customer Solution Centers are made up of teams that provide remote (offsite) service; customer access, pre-sales, post-sales, and service delivery. Technical teams focus is to solve various business systems and applications problems for customers, onsite engineering personnel and Authorized Service Providers on standard, specialized or complex systems.
Management Level Definition:
Applies developed subject matter knowledge to solve common and complex business issues and recommends appropriate alternatives. Works on problems of diverse complexity and scope. What you’ll do:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Level 2/3 MSSQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) to lead our database administration team. In this role, you will be responsible for the overall strategy, design, implementation, and optimization of our SQL Server environment. You will provide expert guidance and support to the Level 2 DBAs and work closely with other IT professionals to ensure the scalability, security, and performance of our databases.
Develop and implement a comprehensive database management strategyDesign, implement and manage high availability and disaster recovery solutionsPerform database performance tuning and optimizationLead and mentor Level 2/3 DBAsManage complex database migrations and upgradesAutomate database administration tasks using scriptingDatabase environment assessmentsTrend analysis and recommendationsDatabase cost optimizationsStay up-to-date on the latest SQL Server technologies and trendsConduct performance reviews and identify training needs for the DBA teamAdvise on database security best practices and ensure compliance with regulationsWhat you need to bring:
Minimum 5 years of experience as a SQL Server DBA, with at least 2 years in a leadership roleIn-depth knowledge of SQL Server architecture, functionality, and best practicesExpert skills in T-SQL scripting and performance optimization techniquesExperience with high availability and disaster recovery solutions for SQL ServerStrong understanding of database security principles and compliance requirementsProven leadership and mentoring skillsExcellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and manage multiple prioritiesDesired Skills (Level 3):
Experience with database performance tuning toolsExperience with database HA & DR solutions (Log shipping, Mirroring, Always on AG, Clustering etc.Experience with database migration methodologiesExperience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell)Experience with cloud-based database solutions (e.g., Azure SQL Database)Please note:
