MuleSoft Technical Architect
MuleSoft Technical Architect Role: As a MuleSoft Technical Architect, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, developers, and QA team members, to deliver, maintain, and support cutting-edge MuleSoft functionality for CoreSite, a rapidly growing co-location company. You will lead the design, architecture, and technical oversight of MuleSoft solutions across multiple projects, ensuring scalability and alignment with CoreSite’s growth strategies. This role requires a balance of hands-on technical expertise and strategic leadership. As a trusted advisor, the MuleSoft Technical Architect ensures robust, scalable integration solutions and drives the successful delivery of projects, mentoring development teams and collaborating with business stakeholders. Key Responsibilities + Provide architectural leadership across multiple projects, driving consistency and scalability in integration solutions. + Architect, design, and deliver robust integration solutions using the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform. + Optimize performance, scalability, and reliability of integration solutions, including resolving complex technical challenges. + Oversee the API lifecycle, from design to deployment, ensuring alignment with API-led connectivity best practices. + Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements and create comprehensive integration designs. + Define and enforce best practices, guidelines, and governance for integration architecture. + Lead and mentor development teams, ensuring adherence to architectural principles and coding standards. + Conduct technical and functional workshops to translate business requirements into well-architected solutions. + Drive innovation by staying updated on emerging technologies, MuleSoft updates, and integration trends. + Document solutions to ensure maintainability and effective knowledge transfer. + Conduct code reviews and contribute to hands-on development. + Promote and demonstrate behaviors consistent with CoreSite’s culture and core values. Requirements Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: + Ability to thrive in a hybrid work environment that consists of at least two onsite days per week. + Able to work during normal business hours as well as nights or weekends as needed to support deployments and maintenance windows. + Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. + Exceptional communication skills to engage with technical and non-technical audiences. + Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines. + Leadership and mentorship experience to guide development teams. + Solid experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and multi-team collaboration. + Skilled at troubleshooting and resolving distributed systems issues. + Strong understanding of platform security, authentication, and identity management. + Familiarity with system architecture, data management, and ETL tools. + Ability to lead workshops, document risks, and align solutions with business objectives. Core Technical Skills: + Proficiency in MuleSoft Anypoint Platform components: Anypoint Studio, API Manager, Runtime Manager, and Anypoint Exchange. + Expertise in API lifecycle management, including RESTful API design and governance. + Strong command of DataWeave for complex data transformations. + Deep understanding of integration patterns (e.g., message routing, filtering, queuing). + Strong knowledge of and experience with performance optimization, large dataset processing, and hybrid/multi-cloud integration models. + Strong knowledge of cloud environments (AWS, Azure) and DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines. + Familiarity with microservices architecture and event-driven design. + Proficiency in Java, JSON, XML, and related technologies. + Experience with relational and NoSQL databases and their integration with MuleSoft. Education/Experience: + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field strongly preferred. + At least 7+ years of experience with the MuleSoft platform, including architectural leadership. + Multiple full-lifecycle MuleSoft implementations with hands-on development experience. + MuleSoft Certified Developer - Integration and API Associate certifications required. + MuleSoft Certified Platform Architect and MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect certifications preferred. This role is also eligible for an annual bonus and equity, based upon individual and company performance.
