Role Overview
As a Technical Architect on our Public Sector Services team, you will realize solutions for our customers by working hands-on with our federal, state, and local government customers and partners to solve critically important business challenges using MuleSoft’s Anypoint Platform. You provide technical and strategic guidance to MuleSoft implementation projects, evaluate the customer’s technical and functional requirements, and develop efficient solutions to help customers achieve their business transformation goals. Within MuleSoft, you are a thought leader whose voice and actions are essential in growing our overall Services business, team, and culture.

Work closely with customers and MuleSoft team members to architect transformational technology solutions to meet client business needs in accordance with industry best practices.
Lead customer, partner, and MuleSoft technical teams through multi-phased delivery projects and provide hands-on delivery guidance to influence standards for development, governance, and the operational life cycle.
Guide product direction and features by providing valuable insight to MuleSoft product leadership.
Own it
Identify risks and blockers throughout engagements and contribute to designing and implementing internal mitigation measures to meet customer needs.
Find opportunities to expand the MuleSoft footprint through professional services sales and to expand cross-collaboration with MuleSoft partners, system integrators, and third-parties.

Train, coach, and mentor Services team members in technical and consulting skills.

To be successful, you have:
Six to ten years of proven track record leading integration teams and architecting solutions within a diverse technical team of clients, system integrators, contractors, and internal teams.
Degree or equivalent relevant experience required. Experience will be evaluated based on the core competencies for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer roles, work experience, etc.).
Experience conducting technical workshops with technical and business clients to drive effective services and implementations.
Proven experiences architecting services integrations with at least two of the following:
MuleSoft or other solutions (e.g., IBM, BEA, Oracle Fusion, TIBCO, Dell Boomi, Progress Sonic, etc.)
API Management solutions (Apigee, Mashery, etc)
One or more on-premise or SaaS packaged COTS (Commercial Off-the-Shelf) solution for ERP, CRM, e-Commerce, or mobile (e.g. Salesforce.com, NetSuite, Oracle, Siebel, SAP, Workday, etc.)
Solid understanding of on-premise and cloud-based infrastructures, SDLC pipelines, configuration, and deployment.
Experience with API and integration security with solid grasp of authentication and authorization concepts and principles.
Demonstrated experience with high-availability, fault-tolerance, performance testing and tuning parameters on multiple engagements.
Ability to work independently and be a self-starter.
Ability to rapidly learn and take advantage of new concepts, business models, and technologies.
Desire for continuous study of new technologies and functionality, and involvement in projects that push the capabilities of existing technologies.
Travel may be required up to 50% and varies depending on the client requirements
Qualification for this job is contingent upon acceptable results from a background investigation as well as your obtaining and maintaining the specific level of U.S. Government security clearance that may be required for this role. U.S. citizenship (U.S. born or naturalized) required.
