Job DescriptionSharon Tube – Niles Division, a division of Zekelman, is seeking a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician for our facility located in Niles, OH. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, this bargaining unit position is responsible for the safe repair and rebuild of tube mill production equipment to maximize quality, up time, rate and yield. Requires high aptitude regarding electrical ability, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in order to diagnose and resolve electrical/mechanical issues.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform maintenance in all areas of the Plant including industrial electrical control systems, power systems, AC and DC electronic speed control drives, gearbox and mill rebuilds, annealing furnace repair, mechanical trouble shooting and crane repairTrouble shooting of Programmable Logic Controls, motors, drives and relaysPerform Preventive & Predictive maintenance on mechanical electrical equipment which includes ordering electrical parts per specificationsAdhere to safe work practices in accordance with OSHA and Company safety policies & procedures such as LOTO & Arc FlashPrepare various reportsOther duties as assigned by ManagementQUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalentMinimum 5 years’ direct related work experienceDegree or Certificate in related field preferredPrior tube manufacturing experience preferredExcellent written and oral communication skills, ability to work independently, and/or in a team environmentDetailed orientated, able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and available to work rotating shifts including weekend and OTDisplay a positive attitude towards your work and maintain positive working relationship with othersMechanical aptitude necessary for fulfillment of job requirementsMust be able to interface with computers and efficient at problem solvingFamiliar with Microsoft Office Suite ApplicationsAbility to pass hair follicle drug/physical/background checkLegally authorized to work in the USRegular, full-time, predictable onsite attendance per the posted schedule is an essential function of this roleLead and promote health and safety work practices as required by regulatory agencies and company policyPHYSICAL ABILITIES:
Must be able to move objects and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue. Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination and stamina.Must be able to remain in a stationary position for several hoursRegular, full-time, predictable onsite attendance per the posted schedule is an essential function of this roleAbility to lift, climb, bend, stoop, push and pull.Must be able to lift 60lbs.Must be able to stand for 10-12 hoursAbility to perform work in a plant/manufacturing environmentOther physical requirements as needed for job.
