A Carter Lumber Multi-Family Estimator is responsible for performing material take-offs for buildings, with a focus on multi-family construction. This role requires a thorough understanding of construction industry concepts, practices, and procedures. Requirements:

Understanding of multi-family construction standardsAbility to read blueprints3-4 years experience in light multi-family construction and estimatingExperience in building material salesFamiliarity with professional estimating softwareProficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook

Responsibilities:

Estimating:

Conduct material take-offs for multi-family designs using various blueprints in a timely mannerReview construction documents to understand the materials required for bidsIdentify and correct potential inaccuracies in material lists

Field Support:

Works directly with the outside sales representatives regarding all aspects of blueprints.Follows up with the status of take-offs and assists Outside Sales Representatives/Installed Sales Manager in the selling of projects.
