The Professional Division of Spherion Mid Ohio is excited to partner with a small, family-owned manufacturing facility in Wooster, Ohio, seeking a 1st shift Multicraft Maintenance Technician to join their team. Position Overview:

The Multicraft Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing both facility and machinery/equipment preventative and breakdown maintenance. This role requires a strong background in manufacturing maintenance to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the plant.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct routine inspections of machinery and equipment to identify and address potential issues. Perform preventative maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance and longevity of equipment. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, replacements, and scheduled maintenance. Collaborate with production staff to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation. Install, modify, and relocate equipment as needed. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe work environment. Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance procedures and best practices. 

Qualifications:

Proven experience in manufacturing maintenance. Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing a variety of mechanical and electrical systems. Strong understanding of preventative maintenance practices. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
