Responsibilities

Franciscan Medical Group, as part of Virginia Mason Franciscan Health, is currently seeking a full time Multidisciplinary Technologist for our Franciscan EMG URGENT CARE Clinic in WEST SEATTLE, WA. We are seeking an energetic, compassionate person to join our Urgent Care clinic. This clinic is open 7 days per week. Free parking. 

Job Summary:

The Urgent Care Multimodality Technologist prepares and operates x-ray equipment in performing diagnostic patient exams and procedures safely and accurately to capture specific images ordered by a physician to aid in patient diagnosis.  Work includes 1) preparing and operating radiographic equipment, 2) positioning patients correctly and effectively, 3) recording the requested diagnostic images, and 4) sending results to physician for evaluation and diagnosis.  Work is performed under the strict safety/regulatory/license departmental standards and protocols.  Assists in implementing plan of care by performing common clinical procedures and tasks within scope of practice.

Incumbents are also accountable for applying knowledge of aseptic technique; maintaining quality control for all imaging equipment; and maintaining knowledge of physics, anatomy, techniques and medical terminology through participating in continuing education, seminars, meetings and in-services.

Essential Duties:

Prepares equipment for imaging tests, based on physicians' orders and in adherence to department safeguards and protocols to ensure quality results.Prepares patient and performs radiology procedures.Demonstrates competency in the delivery of care and clinical techniques with scope of practice such as basic CPR, vital signs, visual acuity, electrocardiogram, wound care including suture set-up, orthopedic splinting, Point of Care testing, assisting with eye and ear irrigation, blood  glucose checks and throat swab specimen collection and responding appropriately to emergency situations.Maintains records and logs as required by department protocols and licensure requirements.Performs incidental general office duties to include; answering phone; scheduling; filing; maintaining patient records; ordering
Qualifications

Education/Work Experience Requirements

Graduation from an accredited school of Radiological Technology, which demonstrates attainment of the requisite job knowledge skills/abilities is also required.

Licensure/Certification

American Registry of Radiological Technlolgist (ARRT) (R)Current State of Washington Licensure as a Radiology Technologist - CertifiedCurrent State of Washington licensure as Medical Assistant-Registered (MA-R) within 90 days of hireWashington Society of Radiological Technologist (WSRT) recommendedCurrent American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification.
