The role of the Multifamily-Region Scheduler is to lead the scheduling function for a region (or regions) of DHI Communities including creating, updating, and maintaining schedules for multifamily sites through interaction with Project Managers, Superintendents, and the National Scheduling Manager. Analyze subcontractor performance, compare revised schedule forecasts against original estimates, identify opportunities to improve performance, and communicate critical information to executive management, division leadership, and field personnel.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Plan and oversee operations of the scheduling function regionally including software implementation, process improvement, reporting, and communication. Advise region management on scheduling assumptions in pro forma financial analysis of projects being considered for acquisition and for post-closing performance analysis Interact with construction management to create an informed and realistic version of the unique baseline schedule at the outset of each project based on product type and historical market-specific division performance Communicate with Construction and Development to ensure best estimates of project timelines Coordinate with site construction personnel to obtain actual task start and completion dates then critically analyze task completion durations to formulate an accurate schedule update Create and distribute draft schedule updates on a regular basis to construction management and the National Scheduling Manager for review, then consider feedback for potential inclusion in official distributed schedule updates Interface with management and field personnel Provide relevant reports and updates to management on routine basis and upon request Perform periodic site visits to validate integrity of scheduling information and estimates Conducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the companySupervisory Responsibilities
May have supervisory responsibilitesin the Operations Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
