WATE-TV, Knoxville’s ABC affiliate, is looking for a Multimedia Storyteller for our daily, one-hour lifestyle show, Living East Tennessee. The right candidate will be active and community oriented. This person must be a good writer and storyteller, a solid editor, be detail-oriented, creative, and organized. Successful candidate will also work well under pressure and be able to multi-task. Must have positive energy, a great on-air presence, and a minimum of 2 years’ experience in MMJ broadcast TV storytelling.  Producing experience preferred. This is a full-time position.

Job Responsibilities:

Shoots, writes and edits story content, including stand-ups for daily broadcast contentCollaborates with Producers and team on content generationServes as back-up to Producer and Studio host.Makes a variety of community connections through out east TennesseeCollaborates with account executives on sponsored segmentsMaintains video and editing equipmentContributes to digital and social media contentPerforms other duties as assigned

Requirements & Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in journalism or related fieldExcellent communication skills, both oral and writtenValid driver’s license with an acceptable driving recordMinimum two years’ experience in broadcast TV storytellingProficiency with video recording equipmentProficiency with video editing equipment, Premiere and BitCentralExperience with ENPSKnowledge of lighting techniques and on camera presentation skillsUnderstanding of social media use for content promotionAbility to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
