We are seeking a dedicated and experienced phlebotomist to join our team. The ideal candidate must have at least 12 months of phlebotomy experience with straight needles. A phlebotomy certification is required. The candidate should be reliable and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.

ResponsibilitiesPerform phlebotomy, including blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, and recording maintenance data.Conduct paps, put together paps, perform biopsies, and administer swabs (training provided for these tasks).Collect and store specimens according to established procedures.Clearly and courteously explain the process of venipuncture and other specimen collections to patients.Demonstrate techniques using straight needles.Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes.Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by the test order.Ensure all test requisitions or computer labels match the script for 100% accuracy.Package specimens for transport.Store specimen samples at the required temperature, place samples in the appropriate collection container/tube, accurately label, and follow procedures necessary for transport to maintain the integrity of the specimen.Essential SkillsMinimum of 1 year of work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.Proficiency in specimen collection, phlebotomy, patient care, venipuncture, and blood draws.Phlebotomy certification.Additional Skills & QualificationsProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.Multiple Openings !FT Phlebotomist Float – Brooklyn (Bilingual Russian) FT Phlebotomist Float- Brooklyn (Non bilingual, Staten Island no longer required) FT Phlebotomist Float (Lower Hudson Valle, they will cover Bronx, Yonkers, Mt Vernon, Port Chester & White Plains) – OPENFT Phlebotomist- Brooklyn (Russian preferred but have opened up position to non-bilingual candidates)- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 9am-6pm, Wednesday, 1-8pm & Friday 11am-7pm – OPEN PT Phlebotomist- Williamsburg (Bilingual Spanish required)– 8AM-1:30PM M-F, Every Saturday 9A-1P – OPENPT Phlebotomist- Brooklyn- 40 Flatbush Avenue Ext, Ste 902, Brooklyn, New York, United States of America, 11201-2903, schedule Monday & Tuesday 1pm-8:30pm every Saturday 9am-5pm (candidate must have experience with pediatrics) – OPENFT Phlebotomist Queens- 9020 Elmhurst Avenue, Jackson Heights, M-F, 8am-4pm, rotating Saturday, 8am-3pm (Bilingual Spanish required) – OPENFT Float Phlebotomist – Queens/Long Island FT Mobile Phlebotomist- Bronx/ Manhattan, M-F 8am-4:30pm (car required) FT Mobile Phlebotomist- Queens – M-F 7am-7pm with possible Saturday rotation-FT Phlebotomist – Sunnyside Queens, M-F 7:45am-5:45pm, no weekends/no language requirementFT Phlebotomist- Brooklyn, M-F 7:45am-5:45pm, no weekends/no language requirement FT Phlebotomist- Harlem, M-F 7:45am-5:45pm, no weekends/no language requirement-

 

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00
