Gannett Fleming is looking for a dynamic Municipal Water/Wastewater Engineer offering strong technical expertise to join our Water/Wastewater practice in our El Paso, TX Office.
As a Municipal Water/Wastewater Engineer you will use your technical and management abilities to plan, design and construct water/wastewater infrastructure in a dynamic team setting as well as to mentor junior staff.

In the capacity, you will be responsible for the following:
Participating on project teams in the planning, design and construction administration of municipal and industrial water and wastewater infrastructure facilities and projectsClient interaction, presentations, and project coordination.Coordinating work activities by various technical staff and consultants including developing and implementing study and design standards for consultants to follow, leading progress meetings, preparing meeting agendas and minutes, tracking project schedules, and budgets.All design aspects for large wastewater treatment facilities, including plans, specifications, cost estimates, reports, etc.Coordinating work activities and communicating with various municipalities and governmental regulating agencies.Oversee construction contract management and observation servicesPreparation of reports and permit applicationsSupervise and mentor junior-level engineersDemonstrate professional technical writing and verbal skillsEducation | Experience:BS in Civil, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering (MS is preferred)A minimum of 7 years of experience required in water/wastewater, particularly as a water/wastewater engineer designing (study, plans and specifications) water and/or wastewater infrastructure (i.e. treatment and collection/distribution projects)Professional Engineer License is requiredProgressive experience in the evaluation, design, permitting and construction administration of water and wastewater treatment facilities, pumping stations, water storage and distribution facilities, and wastewater collection systems.Experience with small and large diameter pipes and pipeline experience a plus.Project experience with City of El Paso or TXDOT required. Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or BIM is preferred.Leader and team player possessing strong planning and organizational skillsStrong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to conduct effective client presentations and written report preparation.Familiar with basic Storm Drain DesignFamiliar with Basic Elements of Roadway Design Company Overview:At Gannett Fleming, we believe in improving the lives of the people we serve.
