Description

We're looking for talented individuals with minimum 2 years' experience in a music programming role, and the passion and creative flair to continue to engage our target audiences.  Under the guidance of the Managing Editors and the Group Head of Music Programming, you will help implement the musical sound of our brands like Heart, Capital and Smooth through scheduling the roll-out and undertaking essential music-related programming tasks.

You'll have a passion for music and a love of radio, working proactively to increase our station's listening reach and hours at all times through its music output.

You'll work closely with the Group Head of Music Programming Music Programming and Managing Editors, alongside the programming teams.

You'll set the standard for great music scheduling, carefully crafting an optimal rollout at all times

Reporting of the Role

These roles will report to a combination of our Managing Editors and Senior Music Team.

You’ll create and craft the musical role out of a variety of stations, with responsibility for ensuring the content is finely tuned to connect with the target audience whilst complying with all relevant regulations and policies. Measures of success – 
In the first few months, you would have:

Integrated Seamlessly with the Team and Processes: You will have quickly adapted to Global Radio’s scheduling software and processes, ensuring that Playlists are produced efficiently and accurately. You would have built strong working relationships with key stakeholders, including presenters, Managing Editors and other Music Schedulers.  Your ability to manage deadlines and handle the technical aspects of scheduling would be evident through a smooth, error-free playlist production processMastered the Station’s Brand and Musical Identity: In the first three months, you would have developed a deep understanding of Global Radio’s brand and musical identity. You would have successfully aligned your music scheduling choices with the station’s core values and audience expectations, ensuring a consistent and compelling sound that enhances the station’s unique position in the market.Leveraging Data Analytics: Using data analytics tools, you will have studied listener behaviour and preferences to make data-driven decisions about music selection and scheduling
