This individual carries out complex activities with significant financial, client, and/or internal business impact concerning Mutual Fund investments. Able to serve as a key subject matter expert and mentor to other more junior level employees concerning processes and procedures. Role serves as the first level of organizational leadership focusing on supporting and developing team technical expertise while and the development of both tactical and strategic team direction. May manage daily operational activities and supervise day-to-day work of junior level employees providing feedback where needed.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the completion of the daily operational tasks associated with the processing of Mutual Fund transactionsManual agreement and matching of trades with counterparties, any resultant issues to be investigated and communicated to relevant partnersCompletion of the relevant documentation to facilitate the Mutual Fund transactions, Monitoring of outstanding transactions and providing status updates until completionWorking with both internal and external partners to ensure satisfactory and timely resolution of client queries, client communication and Daily Data QualitySupports Manager in ensuring operational efficiency, focuses on the day-to-day operation of the departmentCarries out complex activities with significant financial, client, and/or internal business impactMay have direct interaction with committees and/or Senior ManagementAble to serve as a key subject matter expert and mentor to other more junior level employeesMay manage daily operational activities and supervise day-to-day work of junior level employees (but not a formal management role)More technically sound in area of expertise and has broader knowledge of other areasDelivers a work product that requires less revisionAble to facilitate discussions and reach decisionsRequired Knowledge/Skills

$55,200 - 88,400 USDSalary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
