**Your day at NTT DATA**
Through the proactive monitoring, identifying, investigating, and resolving of technical incidents and problems, this role is able to restore service to clients.
The primary objective of this role is to proactively review client requests or tickets and apply technical/process knowledge to resolve them without breaching service level agreement (SLA) and focuses on second-line support for incidents and requests with a medium level of complexity.
The Security Managed Services Engineer (L2) may also contribute to / support on project work as and when required.
**What you'll be doing**
**Cisco NAC Solution and Cisco Switches:**
+ Monitor the performance and health of the NAC solution, including authentication, authorization, and enforcement processes.
+ Investigate and troubleshoot issues reported by users or detected through monitoring tools.
+ Ensure daily backup
+ Troubleshooting access related issues due to NAC policies
+ Prepare daily/weekly/monthly/half yearly/yearly compliance as per HSL requirement.
+ Review monitoring alerts for availability and performance
+ Modification/deletion/addition of rules/routes/policies as per requirements from HSL
+ Provide audit evidence as and when required
+ Assist OEM/HSL Project team in product upgrade/maintenance activities.
+ Log analysis and reporting using native tool.
+ Capacity management
+ Incident management
+ Change management process need to be followed.
+ Service window for this engagement is 16/6 (Two shifts)
+ In absence of onsite resource, there should be an immediate replacement of the resource.
+ Analyze logs and alerts to identify security incidents, policy violations, or network anomalies.
+ Respond promptly to incidents related to network access, security policy enforcement, or endpoint compliance.
+ Implement corrective actions to mitigate security risks, such as isolating non-compliant devices or blocking unauthorized access.
+ Maintain and update access control policies based on organizational requirements, security best practices, and compliance standards.
+ Review and refine authentication methods, authorization rules, and endpoint posture assessment criteria as needed.
+ Provide technical support and guidance to end-users, IT staff, and system administrators on NAC-related issues.
+ Assist users with device registration, network configuration, and troubleshooting connectivity problems.
+ Manage software updates and patches for NAC components, ensuring that the solution is up-to-date with the latest security fixes and enhancements.
+ Perform configuration changes and optimizations to improve the performance and security posture of the NAC solution.
+ Maintain accurate documentation of NAC configurations, policies, and procedures.
+ Generate regular reports on NAC performance, security events, compliance status, and incident response activities for management review and audit purposes.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including network engineers, security analysts, and system administrators, to address complex NAC-related issues and projects.
+ Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on NAC operations, issues, and project statuses.
+ End user support if any issue due to firewall policies.
+ Support for DC/DR headend device for change management, modification, maintenance activity and incident.
+ Upgrade activity (hardware/software) need to be performed as per OEM recommendation for headend and branch devices.
+ Closing of audit and VA points for headend and branch devices
+ Support for branch Cisco switches (hardware/software support)
+ Support for branch switches for configuration, modification, and upgrade.
+ Upgrade activity (hardware/software) need to be performed for branch switches as per OEM recommendation.
+ Call logging with OEM for branch switches in case of any issue or incident
+ Coordination with OEM for RMA, configuration, and installation
