Your role and responsibilities

•\tYou are a strategic thinker and a relationship builder, someone who understands the power of partnerships in driving growth. Your mission is to expand ABB’s Excitation business in North America by identifying, onboarding, and nurturing a strong network of channel partners - distributors, system integrators, and installers - who will champion our solutions in untapped markets.•\tLead with Strategy: You will define and execute a robust indirect sales strategy, ensuring ABB’s Excitation systems reach the right customers through the right channels across Canada, the U.S., and Mexico.•\tMarket Expansion & Growth: You will evaluate market segments, determining where to deploy direct, indirect, or multi-channel sales efforts to maximize ABB’s market share.•\tBuild & Strengthen Partnerships: More than just signing agreements, you will cultivate long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with top-tier channel partners, ensuring alignment with ABB’s goals.•\tEnable Partner Success: You’ll ensure partners have the training, tools, and support needed to sell and integrate ABB’s Excitation offerings seamlessly.•\tDrive Synergies Across ABB Solutions: You’ll connect ABB’s Excitation technology with complementary offerings, creating value for both partners and customers.•\tChampion Collaboration: You’ll work closely with marketing, sales, and business development teams to ensure that channel partners are an integral part of ABB’s growth strategy.

Qualifications for the role

\tStrong background in indirect sales and channel management, with a proven ability to build and scale partner networks.\tKnowledge that sets you apart: While not required, expertise in Excitation products, Automation Control Systems, and Power Generation or Cogeneration industries will give you a competitive edge.\tBachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, power electronics, or equivalent experience.\tA self-starter mindset with strong analytical and strategic thinking skills - you see opportunities where others see challenges.\tWillingness to travel up to 50% across North America, meeting partners and customers where they are.\tExcellent communication skills, with fluency in English; Spanish proficiency is highly desirable, and knowledge of French or Portuguese is a plus.\tExperience in driving change initiatives in large, complex organizations - navigating ambiguity with confidence.
