Job Summary:
This lovely family is looking for a happy, positive, caring and respectful daily nanny who has lots of energy, experience and a solid educational background.
The family are looking for a positive role model for their children; a little girl (4) and newborn (born December 2024).
The parents are very hands on, and the role is in the main shared care with the mother. The little girl will be at school from 9am to 2pm and during this time the nanny will be with the mother to support her with her newborn baby.
The little girl is happy, positive and sociable. She is very energetic in her play and loves role play, storytelling and interacting with her parents and nanny. The nanny will work with the parents to support the little girl as she transitions to having a new sibling.
The nanny will be required to work Monday to Saturday from 8am until 8pm. The nanny will be given a lunch and dinner break where they can go back to their own apartment to eat. If the nanny is not needed at any point during the day, they can take this time to spend in their apartment as long as they are available when the parents need them.
This is a fully staffed household and so no laundry, cleaning, cooking or driving is required apart from cleaning, laundry and cooking for themselves.
Job specification:
• Care for the baby including feeding, sleep routines and help achieving developmental milestones
• sole charge when taking the little girl to groups, activities, play dates etc., and for the new baby when the parents want to spend 1:1 time with the little girl.
• The nanny would be fully responsible for researching and planning activities, organising and going to groups, playdates, preparing for travel etc.
• Prepare for travel while ensuring a smooth transition for both of the children – the family like to travel a couple of times a year and would require the nanny for at least one of these trips (usually to the UK).
• Plan and organize activities that are age appropriate for both the children.
Candidate specification:
• Experience with these age groups (with newborn babies) is essential.
• Professional degree educated fluent English speaker
• The family would provide visas for working in Istanbul, but this would need a British or European passport.
• The family are looking for someone who will commit to working with them for at least 2 years to provide the child with stability and continuity of approach.
• An understanding of child development and able to adapt to the needs of both children
