**Job Summary**
We are seeking a passionate and results oriented **National Account Manager, Retail** to drive the growth of our consumer and office products business in Canada. The NAM will be responsible for developing and managing strategic relationships with key national retail and national commercial accounts. This role will focus on driving sales growth, increasing market share, and ensuring the effective execution of promotional strategies.
Reporting directly to the Sales Director, the successful National Account Manager will come with a track-record of outstanding sales experience, a honed business development skillset and a passion for our products. The ideal candidate will have strong business acumen and excellent interpersonal skills. Experience within the industry is also a key attribute of this role.
**This is a 12 month contract position.**
**Responsibilities**
**Sales Strategy and Planning**
+ Develop and execute strategic account plans to achieve sales targets and business objectives.
+ Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to maximize sales growth.
+ Provide insights and recommendations for product development and innovation based on customer feedback and market trends
**Customer Relationship Management**
+ Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key decision-makers at your accounts.
+ Negotiate contracts, pricing, and promotional plans with customers.
+ Participate in industry events, trade shows, and conferences to represent the company.
**Sales Operations and Administration**
+ Manage trade spend and ensure alignment with company goals and budget.
**Collaboration and Cross-Functional Coordination**
+ Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, supply chain, finance, operations and customer service to ensure seamless execution of account strategies and executions of programs.
+ With the help of Demand Planning, manage forecasts and future demand requirements for your customer.
+ Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure S&OP are in place to effectively and efficiently manage purchase orders and outbound shipments.
**Market Analysis and Business Development**
+ Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitive activities to inform business decisions and identify growth opportunities.
+ Monitor and report on account performance and customer KPIs, providing regular updates to senior management.
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor’s degree from a post-secondary institution
+ 3 - 5 years of experience in sales, account management or a related field
+ Proven track record of managing and achieving sales targets for large and medium accounts including/not limited to: Costco, Canadian Tire, Grocery and Drug, Bookstores
+ Industry specific experience preferred
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
+ Strong sales and negotiations skills
+ Analytical and strategic mindset
+ Self-motivated, confident decision-maker
+ Strong interpersonal, teamwork and networking skills
+ Able to adjust to a constantly changing environment while handling a high level of work
+ High energy, passion for our brands, energetic and dynamic personality that strives to win
+ Must be proficient in MS Office Suite
+ Ideally have SAP experience
+ Strong project management and organization skills
+ Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; ability to travel in Southern Ontario, as needed
