What Is the Opportunity?The Travelers Canada Internship Program provides qualified students with an excellent opportunity to gain first-hand experience, receive valuable on-the-job training and learn more about the property & casualty insurance industry. Interns receive challenging work assignments that add value and impact the organization.What Will You Do?Learn about the surety industry, different lines of business, interact with a variety of talented leaders from the organization and more!Learn and understand effective strategies for managing complex risks, credit analysis of $1 billion + revenue companies, and stakeholder management.Develop knowledge of large capital projects in Canada and the US, credit, and portfolio management.Gather project insights through data analysis of large datasets (i.e. 1000+ project data sets).Creating stakeholder presentation materials.Perform other duties as assigned.What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?Students who are serious about entering the insurance industry are preferred.Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above is preferred.Students completing their 3rd or 4th year working towards an Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Risk Management, and Insurance are preferred.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel functions.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Resourcefulness and strong problem-solving skills.Dynamic and structured and able to work both independently and as part of a team

What is a Must Have?Must be pursuing post-secondary degree.Legally eligible to work in Canada.
