National Accounts Collections Supervisor

The National Accounts Collections Supervisor is responsible for oversight of the National Accounts collections team and monitoring collection and credit activity for all National Accounts receivables. This individual will report to the Credit and Collections Manager and will work professionally and effectively with internal stakeholders and external customers. In addition, this role will assist in the preparation of bad debt reserve, analyze company receivables for trends, and prepare and analyze company DSO (Days Sales Outstanding).
Key Responsibilities:
Provide team with guidance, recommend training, answer day-to-day questions, and provide additional support as needed, including time management and monitoring of hourly employee schedulesProvide assistance in the review and resolution of problem accountsConduct monthly meetings with collectors and provide direction regarding organizational updates, collection goals and accounts receivable statusMonitor and produce reports that identify dollars to be resolved through departmental collection activitiesMonitor A/R aging and identify trendsWork with Shared Services, Cash Application and AR teams on items requiring research and/or adjustmentsEnsure performance of collections policies and programs conform in all respects with applicable laws, regulations, ordinances and other orders policies, procedures and directives from supervisorsAdditional projects and responsibilities as required or requested by managementKnowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:
Bachelor’s degree preferred5+ years of experience in B2B collections (Fortune 500, Large Enterprise preferred)2+ years of supervisory experience or Team Lead of 5 or more individualsIntermediate Excel ability is critical to performance of job functionDemonstrate ability to effectively communicate with others verbally and in writingHighly organized individual with the ability to research and resolve issues.Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced working environmentAbility to juggle conflicting priorities and manage workload among team membersDemonstrate ability to motivate and lead a diverse work group
