Job DescriptionAchieve an annual Top-Line Sales plan for the MOEN Hardware Channel specifically ACE, Do it Best and Orgill as the key customers. Deliver Top-line sales on-plan quarterly, semi-annually, and annuallyFavorably influence product transition costs such as markdown/buyback, displays, returns and logisticsLead the planning, creation, and delivery of a comprehensive product line review presentation for each product category.Develop and maintain relationships with key influencers across functional departments within the customer’s organization. Act as a liaison between Moen and the national account and take a leadership position on collaborative teams, to include but not limited to, Sales, Channel, Operations, Marketing, Finance, Store Service, Information Technology and Product DevelopmentAssist the Sales Director in the creation and tracking of the annual sales forecast as well as subsequent monthly revisions for the assigned National Account(s). Communicate key initiatives that could impact the ability to meet the established forecast. Attend and actively participate in monthly forecast meetingsUse store visits, data resources, and informal networking to gain a strong working knowledge of the competitions’ growth strategies including pricing, merchandising, and new products.Communicate the competitive information internally to the appropriate people/functional departmentsPerform regular maintenance of Product Platform SheetsCommunicate pro-actively and be the “go-to” resource throughout the Moen organization for information on key customer initiatives. Serve as the voice of the customerCoordinate the activities of an independent, representative agency (if needed)Manage category wide initiatives and rollouts as needed on behalf of assigned national account(s)Apply a basic understanding of financial measure to achieve favorable outcomesLead the effort to minimize product transition and return costs and achieve financial plan for Operating Income, Days Sales Outstanding and Days Sales InventoryProvide direct and well-articulated descriptions of opportunities and issues to the Sales Director as well as the Retail Leadership TeamPropose effective solutions that are based on past experience and financial favorabilityAssume a leadership role within the National Account Manager team and manage / supervise direct reportsInvestigate and report back on process improvements without being promptedQualificationsBachelor’s Degree is required; an MBA is preferredMinimum of 5 years of business experience with 2 years of national account management experience is required; previous experience supporting large retailer is strongly desiredIntermediate level proficiency with Excel and PowerPointPossess a working knowledge of the assigned National Account(s) as well as a strong working knowledge of sku level sales performanceAbility to analyze market conditions and competition as well as develop strategic responses to opportunitiesPossess a strong understanding of Marketing, Operations and Finance as well as a mid- level understanding of the financial metrics that drive success for the business unitAbility to work independently and in a team environment is essentialMust be able to coordinate multiple projects simultaneouslyAbility to negotiate win/win solutions in line review situations as well as day-to-day to achieve maximum results with the assigned National Account(s)Ability to “sit-in” for the respective Sales Director if needed in the presence of upper managementMust be flexible to maximize business opportunities as they arise as well as possess a willingness to travel as needed (up to 50-60Additional Information
Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $80,000 USD - $126,500 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
