The National Accounts Manager – Education is responsible for managing all assigned school accounts; increasing sales and market share, maintaining or increasing margins, achieving order fill rate and average drop size. (S)he is also responsible for developing and maintaining good relationships with Foodservice Director and support staff for assigned school districts.
\nEssential Duties:
\n\nManage assigned school accounts/Increase Sales and Market Share – External & Internal\n\nMenu Analysis & ongoing communication with customers to provide necessary product forecasting/special orders to Demand Teams and ensure adequate supplies to ship to customer in a timely manner\nManage slow, obsolete, and proprietary product inventory for accounts\nCommunicate regularly and provide support through alignment with purchasing and transportation to ensure accurate and timely deliveries per contract. This will include order guide maintenance, order entry for assigned accounts, and collections support.\nMinimum of quarterly in person meetings with key personnel for large customers & twice a year for customers under $1 million annual sales\nManage accounts receivable; work with customers and credit analysts to keep accounts current\nCoordinate customer service level needs with SFC Operations & Transportation\nAnalyze market potential for opportunities to grow sales with existing and non-existing customers/build new relationships\n\nHave in person meetings with potential new school districts/Co-op leads based on Market Analysis to develop and increase new business\nEstablish calendar for upcoming bid opportunities & secure competitive information\n\n\nRepresent company at trade association meetings to include but not limited to:\n\nState School Nutrition Association (SNA) – Annual Conference and other events\nState Agency functions\n\n\nWork with Bid Team on bid process of coding, providing competitive information, any other necessary\n\n\nSubmit reporting to manager with specifics on new business, lost business, potential new business as required by leadership\n\nQualifications:
\n\nBachelor's degree in nutrition or related field preferred\n5+ years’ experience in the foodservice industry with minimum of 2 years sales experience preferred\nCurrent driver’s license and auto insurance required\nDemonstrated expertise in Microsoft office products\nAbility to read and interpret documents and write routine reports and correspondence\nAbility to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization\nProficient in calculating figures such as margin and discounts.\n\n\nExpertise in problem-solving\nMust be flexible and willing to work the demands of the department which are subject to evenings, weekends, holidays, and travel when needed \n\nSalary of $65,000 to $70,000 with annual bonus potential depending on competency, experience, qualifications and skills.
