The American Heart Association has an excellent opportunity for a National Development Lead, Heart Walk. This position can be remote within the United States.
The National Development Lead, Heart Walk, will be part of a team focused on the national strategy and execution for our Heart Walk campaign and other emerging corporate fundraising strategies. The primary responsibility will be the adoption, growth and success of these revenue streams. The role will report to the National Vice President and will have three main areas of focus:
Lead the implementation of our national campaign strategies, through campaign management and oversight, consultation and strategy refinementStaff training and excellence in executionStrategic coaching and consultation to staff in key markets/events to achieve campaign excellenceThis role will work closely with the national field campaign team, regional and market leaders, and directors in the field ensuring the campaigns strategically grow revenue through visionary goal setting, disciplined business planning, and elevated volunteer engagement.
We offer a base salary with the potential to earn an incentive up to 25% of your base pay. The potential incentive is based on achieving certain revenue targets and triggers.

Responsibilities Ensure consistent execution of best practice strategies through consultation to reduce variance of performance across markets and regions, with a focus on year-round campaign efforts.Lead strategic content updates in areas assigned to refresh campaign tools and materials including new strategies, technology, digital communications, case studies, business plan documents, toolkits and campaign collateral. Work directly with region consultants and a portfolio of events/markets to provide direct consultation and training including “in the field” training to model effective meetings.Provide excellent campaign analysis that uses lead indicators and data to drive performance. Works directly, as assigned, as the staff partner with National Heart Walk teams.Executes campaign training including national training bootcamps and monthly huddles.Organize and manage national/region group and individual strategy calls.Create weekly field staff campaign report for National Vice President highlighting timely key performance indicators.Monitor and analyze external and internal trends and data in collaboration with the Center for Development Operations to develop benchmarks, standard methodologies, priorities and focus areas.Provide formal feedback to leadership on opportunities and challenges.Drives adoption of innovation and new revenue strategies.Manage projects as assigned.Want to help get your resume to the top? Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or higherProven record of success in peer-to-peer fundraising and campaign management overallFive (5) years of experience in a similar role or in a role leading a 7-figure peer to peer campaign with year over year growthProven record of success in corporate sponsorship, C-suite leadership recruitment and peer to peer fundraisingSkilled in campaign oversight and reporting analyticsStrong customer service skillsTeam player and has the ability to get along with all levels of staffAbility to thrive in a dynamic environmentSkilled in planning projects and working against deadlines to provide end productKnowledge of Blackbaud Event Management SystemAbility to travel overnight up to 50% of the time Compensation & BenefitsExpected pay range will be $130,000 to $140,000. Pay is commensurate with experience; geographic differentials to the pay range may apply. The American Heart Association reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range.
