We have a fantastic opportunity for a National Engineering Manager in the UKWe are seeking an experienced dual-qualified chartered building and insurance professional to join our Subsidence Expert Services Team.
The role will involve the highest level of expertise in all areas; Team management, customer service, building and insurance. A leading expert in subsidence claims handling, you will be managing a team of 5 Building Consultants and 3 Claims Technicians that will be handling both commercial and domestic claims, the majority over £100k in value. Reporting to our Technical Director you will need to be willing to travel and be flexible in your working hours. Key responsibilities include:
Managing internal referrals and new claim notificationsAllocating claims to building consultants and supporting techniciansReporting on service and portfolio operationsAchieving monthly budget targetsProviding technical support and trainingActing as an expert witness when neededPromoting client relationshipsThe skills you will have when you apply:Appropriate chartered status e.g. MCIOB, MRICS, MICE and an insurance qualification Dip CILA/ CII or above.A detailed knowledge of structural defects affecting buildings.A full UK driving licence.Experienced in diagnosing the cause of damage to domestic and commercial buildings.An understanding and knowledge of repair techniques to damaged buildings and their drainage, particularly in respect of subsidence damage.Prior experience and knowledge in managing a team delivering service and financial requirements.Decisive in resolving matters, an appreciation of the importance of delivering outstanding customer service, and excellent communication and empathy skills.An ability to present and train others both internally as well as external client staff.Capable of working in a home-based role but closely with a remote team of technical and support staff, as well as manage and plan your own workload whilst delivering professional advice to both claimants and insurers.A good working knowledge of IT and Microsoft packages.Enthusiastic, professional and positive attitude.What we’ll give you for this role:Remuneration & more
