National Field Development Leader

 

Job Summary

This position impacts Individual and Worksite sales results through education, coaching, and effective assimilation of new and emerging sales leaders and their teams.  This will be accomplished through coaching Field Development Managers, recruiting/hiring, and business planning.  In addition, they will provide hands-on support, virtual training, and coaching in markets where needed and will work across multiple time zones.

 

Key Responsibilities (list at least 5)

Partner with Sales Leadership (Zone VPs and AVPs) to identify needs and schedule field development activities. Build and maintain an effective team by coaching and directing employees, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results. Facilitate education on new and existing products, technology, processes, and compliance related topics. Facilitate and deliver the Sales Leader Development Program for new leaders (Market and sub-market levels).  Ensure the standards of the program are embedded and consistent. Facilitate and deliver nationally sponsored education programs. Develop a quarterly plan and scorecard result and deliver to senior leadership. Serve as a key source of input to content development and creation of facilitator guidelines when needed for all relative sales education programs. Ensure consistent Field Development Manager activities and processes across markets and zones. Monitor, review, and approve travel and accommodations expenses within prescribed guidelines.

Accreditations (Education, Certifications and/or Experience)

5+ years’ experience related to Learning and development(L&D), sales development, sales/business development, small business management/ownership.  Worksite insurance experience within an independent agent setting is preferred. Bachelor’s degree Excellent facilitation skills  Experience with curriculum/content building Knowledge of basic adult learning theories, current L&D best practices, participation in external training or L&D professional organization(s) Ability to travel 65%+
