We are currently looking for a National Marketing Director to join our team in Bloomfield Hills, MI! This customer-focused position is responsible for developing and implementing the company’s marketing and branding strategies to maximize revenue, increase occupancy, and attract and retain residents. The Head of Marketing provides strategic management of the key relationships including prospects, residents, internal stakeholders and vendors. The position will lead and direct the marketing team and be able to articulate measurable results. This position provides strategic guidance to the executive level regarding leading trends, key opportunities and new strategies. Budget management and employer brand are in scope.
What are the responsibilities of the National Marketing Director?
Leads the marketing team through the implementation of key strategic initiatives across all current and emerging channels, with the goal of differentiating Edward Rose and Sons from competitors and maximizing revenue. Owns optimal customer experience (CX) and the cohesiveness of the customer journey across all touchpoints: prospect, resident, and former resident. Focuses on innovation with the potential to advance the company including new target audiences, partner opportunities, and emerging tools and initiatives. Guides and directs the work of the marketing team in the areas of Digital Marketing, Creative and Branding, Graphic Design, and Media & Project Management. Approves and guides the development of the marketing budget and ensures Marketing operates within it optimally and efficiently. Trusted advocate in defining customer-facing technology, by leading and influencing cross-functional teams through design, development, implementation and operational integration. Reports to senior leadership on ROI for each channel and coaches the marketing team to design models and analytics to report on efficacy. Owns strategic partner management and agreement negotiations for integrated technologies and third-party advertising opportunities and partnerships. Owns the social media strategy as it relates to customer facing social media uses and employer branding. Collaborates across the enterprise and builds effective relationships with senior leadership, to facilitate the goal of enhancing and refining marketing strategy, and performance and effectiveness. Develop and execute marketing and operational plans to lease new residential communities, overseeing the entire onboarding process from preleasing to operational status. This includes crafting targeted campaigns, coordinating with various departments like IT and Accounting, and managing the leasing process to achieve absorption goals and optimize results. Work closely with the Construction team to stay informed about upcoming construction projects and new builds. This partnership involves regular communication to understand project timelines, progress, and potential impacts on marketing and leasing strategies, including lease up and pre-leasing. Partner with Strategic Operations team to support and enhance company-wide initiatives and with enterprise-wide initiatives and roll outs.Leader Responsibilities:
Act as a positive advocate of the organization’s strategic direction and initiatives, holding the team accountable to displaying the organization’s mission, vision, and values. Lead and take ownership of team goals and performance by providing direction and oversight to team members, planning, and evaluating the team’s activities and deliverables. Identify personal growth opportunities for team members, with team members. Lead engagement of the team, including participation in action planning related to regular team member engagement surveys. Accomplish results by communicating expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising performance of team members. Actively participate in the talent attraction and retention process, including interviewing, selecting, orienting, and training team members as the need arises. Provide continuous coaching to team members, counseling as needed. Develop, coordinate, and implement systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards throughout the team.What are the role requirements?
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communication, or related field is required. 15+ years of progressive strategic marketing experience, demonstrating effective methods of using and enhancing a company’s marketing initiatives is required. Previous experience in Property Management is preferred. Demonstrated ability to effectively and objectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, and work with internal and external customers. Must have experience developing project plans from conception to implementation. Must have experience leading and developing winning teams, through goal setting, delegation of tasks, and ensuring completion of projects. Proven ability to conduct presentations for team member groups, senior management, and/or vendors, as required. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office programs. Ability to be organized, detail-oriented, and to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work cooperatively and respectfully with others. Must possess exceptional organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to balance and prioritize simultaneous projects and tasks. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required. Must present the ability to execute job duties under stressful circumstances such as last-minute deadlines or other difficult situations. Must be willing to travel to various onsite locations via private or public air transportation and personal or company vehicle. Regular attendance, work ethic and strong interpersonal skills are required for success in this position. Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.What's in it for you?
