An exciting opportunity is available for a dynamic and proactive National Operations Manager to join our renowned Property Management team, overseeing a diverse portfolio of assets for one of Australia’s largest investment management firms.
You will support and drive a culture of change, to transition our building services team to a technology powered approach, and be the direct and matrix manager of property operations/ facilities management staff.
A snapshot of the role.
Provide leadership to ensure an exceptional quality of service is delivered to the clients and tenants
Support the Facilities Managers overseeing the implementation of building operations and compliance matters, consulting on any deficiencies or improvements
Lead the team to ensure Prism, The Edge, iComply, SINE, CM3 and CMO are all fully utilised and kept up to date
Understand sustainability goals and provide strategic direction for energy savings and NZC pathways
Place particular emphasis on safety and emergency systems. Ensure the site teams are managing the close out of all risks associated with public liability, fire and lift safety, essential services, non-essential services, the staff and office contractors
Manage procurement initiatives where needed and assist with the procurement of specialist services agreements (e.g. cleaning, mechanical, fire)
Review tenant fit out plans and expenditure with the property manager so that client budgets and capex plans are correctly implemented and achieved
Sound like you. This is what we’re looking for.
To be the successful candidate, you will have proven experience in supervising the broad spectrum of building services with an emphasis on managing a portfolio of multi-storey office/ industrial/ retail assets, and their systems including fire, electrical and building intelligence.
Positive and tenacious in your daily approach, client service is your key priority, and you can communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
You have experience managing staff and are an empathetic leader, able to influence the team to adopt business strategies with a “can do” attitude.
A good level of financial aptitude and computer literacy is required for report writing and budget preparation and you are a prop tech champion, open to changing process as a result of technology adoption.
