National Practice Leader – Credit and Crisis Management This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from either our New York or Chicago office. What the day will look like Developing and executing Aon’s broking strategy to include building a coordinated broking organization that drives value to clients and leads the industry with innovation and thought leadership using data & analytics to support the strategy. Responsible for matching client’s risk and capital solutions in a distinctive and differentiated manner; while also driving best in class broking and operating model that modernizes the submission/quote process and the use of data & analytics to build thought leadership and client innovation. Management of carrier relationships in the market to ensure standard compensation and the necessary insights and knowledge for increasing the value from our trading partners. Management of the National Credit and Crisis Management Practice, including the execution of the Broking talent strategy and management to ensure proper reporting, communications, compliance, and collaboration to drive Aon United. Drive the defined operational model (e.g., use of Aon Connect) for effective and efficient management Colleagues Manage Credit Solutions and Crisis Management Leaders, providing guidance and assistance to assure all Leader and Broker responsibilities are performed to appropriately corporate standards. Oversee staffing decisions to promote diverse teams and development opportunities for staff (including career paths and succession planning). Effectively communicate and execute strategies put forth by Leaders of National Broking Leadership. Engage in People Organization related matters pertaining to talent, including goal setting, recruitment, retention, and conflict resolution. Ensure the use of Broker Scorecards to drive accountability and track performance. Carriers Lead National Credit and Crisis Management Market Relationship efforts. Serve as an expert and internal resource on market trends, pricing practices, risk transfer and risk control products, insurance carrier appetites/capabilities/practices and other underwriting developments. Maintain and/or build relationships with carrier’s national management and senior product and client segment leadership. Clients Work closely with the U.S. Broking Office Leaders, Account Executives, Account Managers, and others in designing solutions and negotiating with insurance carriers to obtain the structures, terms and conditions that best meet client’s exposures and needs. Partner with local RMD’s, RSD’s and AE leaders throughout the country to connect with the Client/Prospect community in local offices and better understand how Aon can assist them. Deliver Aon United (DAU) Champion DAU initiatives including but not limited to: Aon Carrier Link, Aon Optimizer, Standardized Commissions adoption. Grow Aon’s National Credit Solutions and Crisis Management Portfolio in the US Support Account Executives and Production teams throughout the country in sales and other campaigns. Serve as a leading voice in the RFP Process for Credit and Crisis Management opportunities. Develop and drive client-centric broking strategies throughout the country which will reduce Aon E&O exposure. Contribute and align with wider Product Specialty teams and initiatives. Skills and experience that will lead to success Minimum 15 years negotiating Credit and/or Crisis Management placements Demonstrable record of being a ‘Highly Engaged Leader’ at Aon or similar organization Growth Oriented individual contributor Solid Carrier Relations in the Credit and/or Crisis Management Market Comfort learning and using new systems and applications Ability to understand, analyze and apply data and analytics Promote innovation Previously handled difficult Client conversations Current insurance license or ability to quickly acquire insurance producer’s license in all applicable states Education: Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline or equivalent years of industry experience. The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $310,000 to $330,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location. This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
