Responsibilities

Our newly opened Emergency Department is the second largest in the state of Washington, and offers 52 state of the art private treatment rooms.  The open floor model allows for greater visibility, patient safety, and supports our team nursing approach.  Doctors, Nurses, ED Techs, and Social Workers collaborate to provide our patients with the best in emergency care.  Critical patients can be transferred and received by helicopter with a helipad located on the hospital rooftop.  We are certified by the Joint Commission as a Cardiac and Stroke Center and are designated as a Level III Trauma Center with 2 private bays for providing critical care.  The front end process includes 6 Fast track and 5 triage rooms with assigned doctors and nurses to support rapid assessment and treatment.  Our staff pride themselves in providing excellent emergency care to the community in which we live and serve.  

Staffing: 

Demonstrates competent professional practice and engages in opportunities for professional growth. Demonstrates self-accountability to meet stated deadlines for all mandatory requirements.

Provides health care education and guidance to patient and their families.  Educates regarding results, findings and diagnoses to patient and the patient’s family within scope of practice.


Qualifications

Required Education and Experience 

- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with a minimum of an
Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
(BSN) preferred
- 0-12 months of professional nursing (RN) experience

Licensure and Certifications 

- Active RN licensure in the state of Nebraska, Iowa, or nurse licensure
compact.
- Basic life support is required upon hire. Acceptable credentialing
bodies and certifications include the following: American Heart
Association: Basic Life Support.
- Additional certifications may be required based on population(s)
served and services provided
