Responsibilities

Our next RN Residency program start date will begin March 3rd, 2025. Participating Departments: ED, ICU, Telemetry, Med Surg, Orthopedics, Pediatrics. Completion will be based on 100% validation of competencies during your clinical hours.  Our target candidates are baccalaureate-prepared nurses who have graduated within one year prior to the start of the program, and who have not previously worked as a registered nurse or interim permittee.

Qualifications

Requirements: 

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with a minimum of an Associate's Degree in Nursing within the past 12 months from start of program (Gradution 3/2024 or after). 0-12 months of professional nursing (RN) experience.An active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state they will be practicing (interim permits cannot be accepted) upon hire.Current BLS, ACLS, PALS from the American Heart Association Required.Completion of an approved Basic Arrhythmia course prior to the start of the transition program (unless otherwise agreed upon by Unit Director and Education department to complete during the program).TNCC preferred to obtained within 6 months of hireCrisis Prevention (CPI) training within 6 months of hireENPC required within 6 months of hire. Eight additional hours of pediatric specific education required annually.LA City Fire Care required within 90 days of hire.CT STROKE (NIHSS) within 90 days of hire.
