Responsibilities
Job Description:
- Deliver excellence in patient care through assessing, formulating nursing diagnoses and establishing goals, planning and implementing intervention, and evaluating patient care outcomes.
- Read, analyze, and interpret hospital policies and procedures, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Write reports and procedures, and document in the medical record.
- Effectively present information and respond to questions from co-workers, managers, patients, physicians, family members and the general public.
- Calculate figures and amounts such as weights, dosages, flow rates, proportions, percentages and volume.
- Apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Critically think and problem solve.
- Must be able to work and train on either night or day shifts including holidays
- Must be able to complete the entire program.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with a minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- 0-12 months of professional nursing (RN) experience
Required Licensure and Certifications:
- Active RN licensure in the state of Nebraska, Iowa, or nurse licensure compact.
- Basic life support is required upon hire. Acceptable credentialing bodies and certifications include the following: American Heart Association: Basic Life Support.
