National Sales Manager

Job Summary:

We seek a Sales Manager who excels in leading with a solid commitment to team support and actively participates in leadership opportunities. This role is pivotal in achieving team goals while maintaining an enterprise-wide mindset and critical thinking in business placement. The ideal candidate will align seamlessly with our sales strategic objectives and embrace Vail Resorts' vision, mission, and priorities. Is this opportunity right for you? We are looking for candidates who can: 

Prefer candidate to be located in Park City, UT or Tahoe/Bay Area CA.

Solicit, close, and contract group business using strong negotiating skills and creative selling techniques.

Build and strengthen relationships with existing and new customers to enable future booking activities, including sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips, trade shows, etc.

Achieve and exceed team and individual goals, which include revenue and competency targets.

Execute incoming group sales lead conversion process, including evaluating, qualifying, and quantifying material leads, engaging with clients, and developing timely proposals while working with internal stakeholders to meet and exceed customer preferences while following Vail Resort’s specific advance commitment strategy

Leverage digital sales tools to drive conversion.

Execute designated sales strategies to develop and solicit specific accounts to achieve revenue goals.

Effectively use sales resources and administrative support.

Responsible for creating weekly sales activity reports.

Able to provide quick and timely responses and immediate communication to stakeholders and clients.

Prepare correspondence to customers, internal booking reports, and file maintenance:

Partner with the Service and Operations teams to provide a customer experience that exceeds customer expectations.

Provides customer intelligence in evaluating market economic trends, competitors' strengths and weaknesses, supply and demand, etc., and know-how to sell against them and may lead to changes in sales strategy to meet or exceed customer expectations:

Contribute to the health and strength of a dynamic team culture.

Embrace and contribute to an Enterprise-wide culture of leadership.

 

 

Job Requirements:

What we are looking for:

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Work Excel, PowerPoint) and SharePoint

Experience with Delphi.FDC (training will be provided to the right candidate)

Four Year College Degree Preferred

Proven success in a similar role and environment.

Flexibility to travel in the resort as needed (transportation is the employee's responsibility.)

Phone required for client-facing roles – phone plan is available (candidate must either opt into company plan or assume responsibility for a business phone solution.)

Company-use IT Technology Kits are provided for job requirements of corporate remote employees. Any additional items will be at employees’ expense.

Experience with Sendsites, Social Tables/CVENT, Delphi.FDC, Conga preferred

Excellent verbal and written communication

The expected Total Compensation for this role is $55,000 - $65,000. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
