The National Sales Manager (NSM) will drive the generation of conference business within national markets, focusing on maximizing sales, exploring potential market opportunities, and ensuring effective administration of responsibilities through strategic delegation and personal attention. The NSM will focus on securing and managing group business with a particular emphasis on government markets. Ideal candidates will possess a proven track-record of exceeding sales targets, a creative approach to marketing strategies, excellent problem-solving skills, and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset. The NSM will operate in alignment with our core values and mission statement: “Our Passion is People.” The role is essential in creating long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with key clients and partners, ensuring continuous growth and success.  


Build and nurture relationships with companies and associations through personal visits and calls to generate and secure new conference and group business. Schedule, coordinate, and execute meetings, conferences, and social events, ensuring smooth operations from initial contact to event completion. Dedicate the majority of time to proactive telephone sales, ensuring consistent outreach and communication. Represent the company at relevant trade shows, industry seminars, and networking events, fostering relationships and expanding the business network. Prepare, report, and analyze accurate business forecasting to track performance, ensuring alignment with sales goals. Consistently achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets, contributing to the overall growth and success of the organization.  Requirements


Minimum of 3-5 years of sales experience in group sales within a 3 or 4 Diamond resort (200+ rooms and over 10,000 sq. ft. of meeting space), with a proven track record of exceeding sales goals and delivering measurable results. A minimum of 2 years of college education, with a degree preferred. Experience in hotel sales or a related industry is strongly preferred, particularly with a focus on government markets. Outgoing, self-motivated, and results-driven, with a strong passion for sales and client relationships. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to engage effectively with clients, partners, and internal teams. Proven ability to handle high-pressure situations, providing excellent customer service and resolving issues quickly and effectively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.) and CRM systems for tracking communications, sales, and client management. Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in documentation, forecasting, and reporting. A professional appearance and demeanor with the ability to represent the company at industry events. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed, ensuring client and business needs are met. Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment while also being highly effective in independent work and self-management.
