The National Sales Manager Protective is a key sales leadership role for The Pittsburgh Paints Company. The role will be responsible for managing distributor relationships and business development in key protective segments. This is a key leadership role that must have a strong understanding of the protective market and products, able to develop strategic sales plans and is able to influence and collaborate with a large sales force. The role will create awareness of our products and services and build relationships with key customers and our sales team.
As part of the Protective Sales team, you will be remote and will report to the Vice President, Protective.
Key Responsibilities
Primary focus and accountability to drive profitable sales and grow our protective segment.
Partner and deliver growth with protective distributors
Develop sales opportunities through defined protective segments and national customers
Build and manage a robust sales pipeline for new business and membership development.
Understand industry-specific trends and landscapes.
Effectively communicate value propositions through presentations and proposals.
Partner with corporate accounts, US stores, and other key sales leaders.
Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets.
Requirements:
10+ years of demonstrated selling experience
High school diploma is required, bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Experience with protective coatings is preferred.
CRM software experience preferred.
Extensive travel within an assigned region is required for customer and team meetings.
