National Sea Logistics Route Development Expert

Your Role In this high profile and customer-facing Sea Logistics position, the individual will be responsible for developing new opportunities for inbound and outbound business pertaining to the India Sub-Continent (focusing primarily on India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka) business and successfully implementing the sales strategy in conjunction with the wider sales team and executive management. \r\nThe role will require a highly motivated individual to analyze data sources in order to identify opportunities to develop and execute the overall strategy in line with the company's growth targets. Your Responsibilities Responsible for managing customer accounts, relationships and agreements Leverage the expertise on designated territory to create solutions that will optimize customer’s needs and supply chainBe the trade and subject matter expert on designated territory Develop and implement to success a sales plan for designated territory. Communicates, presents and conducts regular business reviews with customers at a senior level to assess overall level of satisfaction Ensures close collaboration with the trade team/captain to deliver target growth and market share on respective tradelaneProactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer needs on an ongoing basisBuild an internal network with overseas counterparts to assess pipeline and target accounts To develop pricing strategies (liaise on pricing / RFQ preparation) in tandem with Trade Management and ensure Quotation QualificationManage & provide customer with timely operational assistance (i.e. routings, escalations, quotes & communication)Develops and maintains comprehensive knowledge of competitive products and their activity in the market place and provides reports, on a regular basisMust be willing to travel as necessaryRegular maintenance and proactive updating of sales activities within the Client Relationship Management systemUse all resources at your disposal to ensure success and appropriate customer service while complying with all regulatory requirements Your Skills and Experiences 5+ years of industry experience5+ years experience in a field sales environmentBA/BS or equivalent work experienceExperience with RFPs, creating sales planes, and developing customer solutionsKnowledge of specific country / territory preferredGerman Language Fluency Preferred Good Reasons to Join At Kuehne+Nagel we strive daily to inspire, empower, and deliver not only to our customers, but also to our colleagues. Base salary is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes health and welfare benefits, a 401k retirement savings plan, tuition reimbursement, and incentive compensation for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, skills, job location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
