As a National Security Solutions Intern, you will: 

KBR is looking for highly motivated rising Juniors, Seniors and Graduate students seeking business, engineering, and software development opportunities that provide challenging and meaningful work experience to be a part of our 2025 Intern class.   

As an Image Science intern, you will have the: 

Ability to write engineering software scripts in a variety of languages for both problem solving and visualization 

Ability to conduct EO payload analysis and simulate EO performance 

Ability to understand image formation processing and analyze the iteration between payload designs and image formation processing algorithms 

Experience with remote sensing, to include an understanding of sensor payloads  

Ability to design engineering experiments for the purpose of understanding system design impacts or identifying optimal parameter settings 

Selected interns for this paid opportunity will be provided with the opportunity to mentor with experienced professionals, gain experience and establish a name for themselves in this high demand career field.  

Anticipated Skill Set: 

Tools / Languages would be Matlab, Python, C++, etc 

Experience and knowledge in Data analysis and imaging science applications 

Skills / knowledge would include statistics, linear algebra, matrix algebra, and programming skills 

Major field of study: Image Science, Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering (EO/SAR) 

Scheduled Weekly Hours:    

Average 40 hours per week. 

Basic Compensation: 

$19.00 - 31.00 per hour (This range is for the Colorado area only). 

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity. 

Requirement: 

Must be a US Citizen 

Must pass a Security Pre-Screen and have the ability to obtain a security clearance.
