We are currently seeking a National Tax Technical Director - Partnerships in National Tax supporting the tax aspects of providing clients with tax guidance and planning for their complex partnerships and related transactions. Responsibilities also include researching complex tax partnership transaction issues, consulting and implementing tax partnership strategies, developing and managing client relationships, mentoring staff and coordinating tax services from other parts of the firm.

Responsibilities:

Develops, grows and serves as a firm technical resource for the U.S. income tax aspects of partnershipsLeverages technical knowledge and experience to provide effective project management and practice development; delivering timely and responsive services and products that meet and/or exceed client expectationsA key player within the firm’s tax practice, including building relationships and delivery of servicesAssists with proposals and business development, including the development of marketing materials and web-based marketing initiativesDevelops and participates in public speaking opportunities at tax conferences and events

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree required; Master’s degree in Taxation and/or JD with LLM in Tax preferredMinimum 10 years of tax experience; preferably gained within a public accounting firmMinimum of 7 years of specialized in partnership taxation experienceCPA, bar membership or equivalent credential requiredPossesses ability to analyze complex business and partnerships transactionsExperience supervising and training staffStrong project management and organizational skillsExcellent interpersonal and verbal written communication skillsStrong presentation skills and strong organizational techniquesAble to work effectively both as part of a team and independentlyAble to handle multiple priorities, tasks and simultaneous projectsAble to attain visibility and recognition firm wide within your specialization
