National Technician Trainer

The National Technician Trainer is responsible for the development and implementation of training/support programs for service technicians for Rush Truck Centers/Customers and provide technical knowledge support for assigned customer accounts. This role will have a focus of training our Peterbilt technicians. Rush Truck Centers opens the door to the world of opportunity. Responsibilities: Training: Conduct OEM training for Rush Truck Center technicians and customers as permitted by OEM guidelines, ensuring a high pass rate for technicians meeting OEM standards. Develop training materials and deliver training through various methods, including classroom settings, online platforms, and one-on-one sessions. Collaborate with the Truck Sales Team to strengthen customer relationships and provide support for key accounts. Manage technician training requirements by location to ensure compliance with OEM standards and facilitate certification attainment. Develop course curriculum for non-OEM training in areas such as: Preventive maintenance for Class 7 and 8 vehicles Basic brake job procedures Electronic troubleshooting and check engine light diagnostics DPF and after-treatment system troubleshooting, including cleaning and regeneration Tire wear diagnostics, rotation, alignment, and inflation standards Fuel system maintenance Support Provide comprehensive customer support for national accounts throughout the dealer network, including troubleshooting, technical assistance, onsite repairs, and repair analysis. Enhance customers' product and troubleshooting knowledge by conducting training sessions for fleet managers and technicians, available onsite or via online meetings. Assist both internal and external technicians with troubleshooting complex issues, aiming to resolve customer downtime and improve overall fleet health. Requirements: This role has the expectation to both train virtually, as well as travel to Rush Truck Center locations and conduct trainings in person. Must be willing to travel frequently, up to 75%, with a preference to hire a candidate near a major Peterbilt Rush Truck Center location (San Antonio, Dallas, Houston, Denver, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Nashville, among others) Ability to multi task under pressure. Must have strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
