National Transportation Marketing Specialist
General Description: Responsible for the marketing/placement of small commercial lines (Select) accounts with carriers. Includes negotiating carrier coverages and terms, preparation of proposals, and the binding process. Provide national support and training to regional Select marketing teams.    Responsibilities:Establish and maintain strong relationships with the sales team. Lead marketing review meetings to understand client’s insurance needs and objectives.  Market insurance opportunity to carrier partners for interest. Develop submission to carriers and obtain comprehensive and competitive quotes. Complete follow-up calls to carrier underwriters.     Negotiate terms with carriers on client’s behalf. Manage submission inventory, including terms, rates, commission, and carrier responses.Prepare comprehensive proposal and bind coverage with underwriters. Act as technical expert on market trends, pricing practices, and other underwriting policies.Participate in carrier meetings and communicate information to Select operations and sales teams.Foster strong relationships with carrier partners.Utilize Power BI system to identify training and coaching opportunities.Maintain a high degree of accuracy in agency management systems.Provide coaching and mentoring to regional team members. Assist with onboarding and training.Keep current with industry, new product information, coverages, and technology. 
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:5+ years of small Property & Casualty marketing and placement experience.Bachelor’s degree preferred.Comprehensive knowledge of Property & Casualty coverages, placement, underwriting, and rating concepts.Must hold Property & Casualty insurance license or willing to obtain one within six months of hire.Desire to pursue industry designations, such as, CIC, ARM, AAI, CPCU, preferred.Comprehension of data and analytics. Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment with minimal instruction.Strong negotiation and communication skills.Sets priorities and manages workflow to ensure efficient, timely, and accurate work.Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including Word and Excel. 
Physical Demands: Work is performed in a climate-controlled office environment; limited to no exposure to chemicals and toxins. Employees operate office equipment; telephone – headset, computer, computer monitors, keyboard, mouse, copier, scanner, and mail machine. Physical tasks of job include walking, sitting, standing, bending, and typing.
