Natural Gas Engineer
Job Title: Natural Gas EngineerJob Description Join our dynamic utility team (ICE Group) and support major projects for Utility customers in the Gas industry. This role involves working on the design and production of pipelines and facility-related mechanical systems for oil and gas projects. You will be part of a collaborative team, with opportunities for growth and development. Responsibilities + Interact daily with the project manager and coordinate engineering deliverables. + Design and produce pipelines and facility-related mechanical systems. + Work on a range of projects including cross-country and distribution pipelines, meter and regulatory facilities, separators, gas heaters, launcher/receivers, mainline valves, and interconnecting piping. + Work independently and within a team of engineers and designers (both locally and remotely). + Ensure compliance with ASME 31.4, 31.8, and 49 CFR Part 192 and 195 standards. + Travel to client meetings and perform field views of projects (travel expectation 10%). + Model and perform pipe stress analyses using programs such as CAESER II. + Size pipelines and perform process flow modeling using programs such as HYSYS. + Understand site civil grading and drainage requirements. Essential Skills + Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Civil). + 5+ years of experience in the field. + Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification. + Proficiency in CAESER II and Civil 3D. + Experience with plant 3D, pipeline, compressor stations, and oil & gas projects. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Familiarity with ASME 31.4, 31.8, and 49 CFR Part 192 and 195 standards. + Ability to travel for client meetings and field views. + Experience with process flow modeling in HYSYS. Work Environment Enjoy a fun and collaborative work environment with a flexible work schedule once you are familiar with the team and project workload. The shift is roughly 8am - 4pm on a hybrid schedule. You will have the ability to work remotely as there is no brick-and-mortar office location, but you need to be in the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre area for client visits. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $50.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
