Schedule: Full Time

Shift : Day: Rotating between: Monday- Friday 8:00am-4:30pm and Monday- Friday 8:30am-5:00pm

The community you’ll be caring for: Orlando Campus

· Located on a lush tropical campus, our flagship hospital, 1,368-bed AdventHealth Orlando

· Serves as the major tertiary facility for much of the Southeast, the Caribbean and South America

· AdventHealth Orlando houses one of the largest Emergency Departments and largest cardiac catheterization labs in the country

· We are already one of the busiest hospitals in the nation, providing service excellence to more than 32,000 inpatients and 125,000 outpatients each year

The role you’ll contribute:

The Intake Coordinator is the point of first-contact for patient and referring physicians, providing assistance and customer service to patients. This includes triaging and managing all incoming inquiries and processing/directing patient referrals. The Intake Coordinator completes and oversees a variety of support activities. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

•Executes the fulfillment of customer requests within guidelines established by leadership. Approaches all encounters with guests and employees in a gracious, attentive, courteous and service-oriented manner. Effectively seeks and applies new concepts and techniques to enhance program and build employee and customer loyalty

•Coordinates the day-to-day operations to facilitate high touch concierge services in an efficient and effective manner. Utilizes strong customer service and organizational skills in coordinating successful events, promoting a positive impact for the program, hospital, and customers. Works closely with all levels of customers throughout the company to assist in coordinating personal services

•Successful handling, prioritizing, and resolving of issues while anticipating opportunities in the future. Leads by example, consistently conveying a positive attitude, passion and pride in work

•Maintains a vendor/sourcing resource database for retail products and services

•Effectively communicates and coordinates with leaders and staff from all departments to enhance customer loyalty and satisfaction

•Consults with management on new business/retail initiatives/programs that follow the mission and vision of AdventHealth. Communicates special requests and concerns to management promptly

•Achieves and/or exceeds budgeted sales expectations established by retail leadership

•Promotes and offers the Concierge Services to all guests and employees

•Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed :

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE STRONGLY PREFERRED:

· Exceptional communication and organizational skills.

· Proficiency in using computer, word processing, and email system. Secretarial skills including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

· Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task and adapt to changing program needs

· Ability to display professional interactions with all levels of internal and external customers

· Able to promote the highest quality of service with a spirit of willingness and cooperation to both patients and staff.

· Able to work independently and accurately, using good judgment in all situations, and possessing communication and organizational skills.

· Able to maintain confidentiality in accordance with Hospital policy and HIPAA regulations.

· General knowledge of health insurance authorization process and billing codes.

· Excellent verbal and written skills

· Ability and willingness to multitask

· Able to work independently or in a team environment

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS PREFERRED:

· Medical terminology

· Working knowledge of AdventHealth programs, policies and resources

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

· High School Diploma or GED

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

· LPN or Certified Medical Assistant

· Medical office experience or experience working with medical insurances

· Associate degree or 2 years of experience working in healthcare setting

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:

· Not applicable

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION PREFERRED:

· Medical coding, billing, and insurance certificates
