Overview

CHI St. Alexius Health Williston now part of CommonSpirit Health formed between Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) and Dignity Health has been proudly serving our community since 1920. CHI St. Alexius Health Williston proudly provides primary care specialty care family medicine 3D mammography orthopedics neurology and several other health services to our Williston community.


Responsibilities
Serves as a clinical expert to assist patients and their families navigate through the healthcare system throughout the course of their diagnosis to survivorship.Works with physicians, clinical staff, the community, and advocacy groups to enhance coordination of patient care across the continuum.Oversees and coordinates patient care delivery to maximize patient/family/physician satisfaction.  Acts as an advocate for patients and family members, and as a resource for staff.Maintains a professional attitude with physicians, patients, families, and others while assuring confidentiality of patient information.Educates the patient, family and staff by providing facts about diagnosis, treatment plans, and available resources.  Manages identified case load of patients.  Is able to manage multiple priorities, time lines, and can work under pressure.
Qualifications

Required Education for Staff Job Levels

Graduate of an approved nursing program, Bachelor of Science degree in nursing or its equivalent in experience.

Licensed to practice registered nursing in the state of ND or in a compact state.

Required Minimum Experience

Minimum of one year of nursing experience in a clinic Oncology setting preferred. 

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Working knowledge of basic clinical skills in delivery of patient care. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong leadership, critical thinking and stress management skills.  Time management, conflict resolution, and the ability to be creative and innovative are required.

PREFERRED Education and/or Experience

Nursing degree from an approved school of nursing.  Baccalaureate nursing degree preferred.
