What does this role look like?



Learn about the Trident II D5 Fleet Ballistic Missile.

The Navy Reentry Development Programs Deputy will report to the Navy Reentry Development Programs Senior Manager and will lead program integration and coordination across the Navy Reentry Development Programs Portfolio. This leader will be responsible for resource management and prioritization across the portfolio, as well as integration across the broader Navy Reentry Portfolio and Strategic Reentry Mission Segment.
This leader will be delegated decision authority for portfolio level decisions and responsible for cross portfolio execution. This leader will ensure portfolio staffing is right sized and coordinate the portfolio program offices, E&T and manufacturing teams. This leader will maintain the portfolio organizational structure, comms plan and execution CONOPs. The Deputy Program Manager will facilitate communications across several sites and drive a positive, integrated culture across the Reentry Programs.



In this role will offer you the following daily responsibilities:



• Maintain Portfolio level org charts, comms plan and CONOPs

• Drive day to day portfolio level regular rhythms

• Coordinate program integration across the Reentry Development Programs Portfolio, and with the broader Strategic Reentry Programs Mission Segment

The organization is distributed across multiple sites including Denver CO and Valley Forge, PA. Travel between sites may be required. This position reports to the Navy Reentry Development Programs Office, and although this position does support some teleworking; the preferred candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in Washington DC, and will be expected to work in the office as needed and as appropriate.

Basic Qualifications:
To be effective, you will need to possess these basic qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or other Technical [STEM] field from an accredited college,

• Minimum of 8 years professional experience,

• Experience interfacing with all levels of management, stakeholders, peers, and customers,

• Professional experience with Program Management,

• Demonstrated ability to develop collaborative working environment across business organizations,

• You will need to be a US Citizen, and currently possess and be able to maintain a US DoD SECRET clearance, with ability to obtain TOP SECRET clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Desired Skills:
To be effective, ideally, you should also have:

• 15+ years' total experience, including 5 years demonstrated systems engineering leadership experience

• Experience interfacing with Program stakeholders across internal organizations (e.g. E&T, Operations, ATLO etc.). Experience in program execution.

• Demonstrated experience in developing high performance teams and guiding culture change in the organization

• Ability to plan strategically and translate these strategies into daily, weekly and monthly tactical rhythms

• Ability to motivate, develop, and successfully energize a large multi-site team

• Excellent communication skills. Ability to distill high level vision into direction and communicate decisions through both verbal and written methods.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
