What does this role look like?

The Navy Reentry Development Programs PMO staff leader will lead a team of Reentry Engineering professionals and support engineering development, program planning and opportunity development, and knowledge continuity and mentoring efforts for the Navy Reentry Development Programs portfolio. This individual will be co-located at Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) headquarters and will regularly interface with both the SSP customer and our Department of Energy (DOE) partners. The primary objective of this individual is to ensure alignment of LM strategic position with SSP objectives, and to prepare the LM workforce for development efforts.



In this role will offer you the following daily responsibilities:



• Shape and align to SSP long range objectives

• Develop LM’s workforce and culture to align with SSP mission and culture and a “development mindset”

• Manage the development of the Mk7 RBA Engineering organization from 60+ to 150+ over the next 2 years

The organization is distributed across multiple sites including Denver CO and Valley Forge, PA. Travel between sites may be required. This position reports to the Navy Reentry Development Programs Office, and although this position does support some teleworking; the preferred candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in Washington DC, and will be expected to work in the office as needed and as appropriate.
Basic Qualifications:
To be effective, you will need to possess these basic qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or other Technical [STEM] field from an accredited college,

• Minimum of 10 years professional experience,

• Experience interfacing with Program stakeholders, customer counterparts and/or contractors. Experience in or interfacing with Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP), Sandia National Labs (SNL) and Los Alamos National Labs (LANL) is required,

• Professional experience with guiding systems engineering design reviews (eg SRR, PDR, CDR),

• Demonstrated Systems Engineering experience associated with technical requirements development and management in a development environment,

• Demonstrated ability to develop collaborative working environment across business units and with external customers/counterparts,

• You will need to be a US Citizen, and currently possess and be able to maintain a US DoD SECRET clearance, and be able to obtain and maintain a US DoD TOP SECRET clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Desired Skills:
To be effective, ideally, you should also have:

• 15+ years' total experience, including 5 years demonstrated systems engineering leadership experience,

• Demonstrated knowledge of the FBM program and Trident II (D5) Reentry System,

• Demonstrated experience in developing high performance teams and guiding culture change in the organization,

• Ability to plan strategically and translate these strategies into daily, weekly and monthly tactical rhythms,

• Electronics, RF, and/or mechanical design experience,

• Ability to motivate, develop, and successfully energize a large multi-site team,

• Demonstrated experience of effective customer coordination and collaboration,

• Familiarity with Weapon Specs,

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $118,100 - $226,400. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
