NC Programmer - Entry Level

Description:In this role the selected applicant will be required to utilize TruNest nesting software on a daily basis to generate NC programs to run our in-house CNC routers, punch presses and waterjets to fabricate aircraft components from sheet stock. Selected individual will work to a provided weekly schedule to meet production needs and will at times make adjustment to scheduling and pre-nested jobs as needed. Part of the role includes directly supporting and interacting with production technicians to answer technical questions, make program revisions, and troubleshoot processing issues. As well, individual will be tasked with facilitating line and nesting process improvements to heighten efficiencies and product quality. As time allows, stretch assignments may also be assigned to meet varying departmental & inter-departmental technical needs as required.
Basic Qualifications:
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.

• Experience in one or more of the following reading/interpreting engineering blueprints, tool designs, and process specifications.

• Proficient in the use of basic Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

• Demonstrated strong analytical, problem-solving, and multi-tasking skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Additional applicable specialized technical training or currently enrolled in an Engineering/Technical degree program or completed Engineering degree.

• Direct machine shop experience with focus on sheet metal processing via the use of CNC routers, punch presses, waterjets, and mills.

• Working knowledge of sheet metal nesting software usage, TruNest preferred.

• CAD Software proficiency. (Preferably Solidworks, Autodesk Draftsite, AutoCAD, and Catia)

• Ability to understand and troubleshoot in G-Code.

• Ability to support and troubleshoot production floor equipment and CNC program issues.

•Understanding of GD&T as applied to Engineering drawings with evidence of training or certification preferred.

•Working knowledge of Lean and Flow Manufacturing concepts.

•Advanced MS Excel skills (use of Pivot Tables, Vlookups, formulations, etc.)

•Experience using MES/MRP Software

•Direct experience with SOLUMINA, MTO, QADS, PIOS preferred.

•Aerospace or Medical Industry work experience preferred.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
