Northrop Grumman is looking for you to join our team as a Principal or Sr Principal Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A) Engineer supporting research and development as the Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3) MS&A based out of Roy, Utah or Colorado Springs, CO. This role may offer a competitive relocation package.

What you’ll get to do:

Active member of the MS&A efforts for the NC3 mission area supporting the USAF Cooperative Research and Development AgreementWork with multi-disciplinary team members from numerous NG locationsProvide project technical leadership related to the NC3 mission areaSet the model direction for all NC3 related efforts and communicate standards and architecture guidance to the teamPresent to government representatives regarding our NC3 results based on MS&AProduce mission engineering models, simulations, and analyses that support the research and development efforts

Basic Qualifications:

Principal Engineer:

Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years of relevant experience; Master’s Degree with 3 years’ experience; PhD with 1 years’ experience or 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of degree

Sr Principal Engineer:

Bachelor’s Degree with 8 years of relevant experience; Master’s Degree with 6 years’ experience; PhD with 4 years’ experience or 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of degree

Required qualifications for both levels –

2 years of experience as a technical guide for a team producing modeling, simulation, and analysis products1 year of experience with command, control, and communications enterprise systems1 year of experience with scripting and coding languages such as Python1 year of experience with Agile scrum teams and the Atlassian Tool Suite (i.e., Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)1 year of experience with model-based systems engineering tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler1 year of experience with modeling and simulation tools such as the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration and Modeling (AFSIM) or Ansys Systems Tool Kit (STK)Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope.Must be able to be successfully screened for Enhanced Security Clearances, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs

 Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar disciplineExperience with NC3 systems and/or processesExperience with the USAF strategic command, control, and communications missionExperience with systems engineering modeling for other strategic NG programs such as Minuteman III, Sentinel, B-2, B-21, AEHF, OPIR, etc.Self-driven, able to tackle challenges, solve problems with minimal oversight and make recommendations for solutions/process improvement to leadership

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

Salary Range: $95,300.00 - $142,900.00Salary Range 2: $118,600.00 - $178,000.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
