We are looking for you to join our team as a Systems Engineering Architect based out of San Diego, CA.
What You’ll get to Do:
The selected individual will be responsible for leadership of all systems engineering activities on a program. This position requires full-time on-site work.
Roles & Responsibilities include but aren’t limited to:
Responsible for System and Subsystem Requirement DecompositionResponsible for SE oversight of program capabilities across developmental, test, and production environmentsThread Ownership for Subsystem Level RequirementsResponsible for Verification Planning and VCRM DevelopmentImpacts Requirement Shaping for Mission CapabilitiesLeads Trade Study ActivitiesResponsible for DOORS-hosted requirements managementManages open requirement issues (TBX) tracking and resolutionOversees system configuration management of the System Technical BaselineInterfaces with the customer for the System Technical Baseline ManagementPlans and executes the systems engineering lifecycle and work products for an integrated product teamSupport the transition of the system to the operations, maintenance, and sustainment stakeholdersServes as the cost account manager for the systems engineering responsibilitiesEnsures bi-directional traceability between system requirements and system capability allocationsCoordinates between the System Architect, Chief Engineer, Product Owners, and customer to ensure the allocation of requirements and capabilities into the program technical baselineParticipating in technical exchange meetings, program increment planning meetings, interfacing with customers, and contributing to a broad range of program deliverables.Occasional travel may be requiredBasic Qualification Staff Systems Architect
12 Years with Bachelors in Science; 10 Years with Masters; 8 Years with PhD.Basic Qualification of Sr. Principal Systems Engineer
Experience performing in one or more of the following Systems Engineering disciplines: System Requirements & Architecture, System Development & Implementation, System Integration, and/or System Verification, Transition & ValidationExperience leading technical teams through a system lifecycleExperience with Agile development methodologyStrong experience with SE tools (DOORS, CAMEO, or similar) in developing, managing, and decomposing system requirementsActive DoD Top Secret ClearanceMust have the ability to obtain, and maintain, a Special Access Programs (SAP/SAR) level clearance as a condition of continued employmentStrong Model Based Systems Engineers experienceExperience briefing Senior DoD and Military personnelStrong knowledge of the NC3 and NC2 EnterprisePreferred Qualifications:
Experience working with aircraft ground systemsExperience with Atlassian tool suite (JIRA, Git, Confluence)Experience as an Agile Scrum Product Owner or Scrum MasterExperience planning verification activities utilizing test automation tools/frameworks in a CI/CD environmentExperience with Earned Value Management System as Control Account Manager or Project EngineerExperience in Risk and Opportunity ManagementFamiliarity with Model Based System EngineeringFamiliarity with cloud/hybrid infrastructures and related technologiesKnowledge of tactical datalinks and systems interoperability and emerging standardsStrong knowledge of NC3/ NC2 enterpriseExperience with CAMEO architecture developmentKnowledge of DoD various networks used with in the NC3 / NC2 enterpriseExperience in various tools used for MS&A (i.e AFSIM, STK, Python etc.)Salary Range: $165,000.00 - $247,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
