Job Description
We are seeking an experienced NDT Liquid Penetrant Technician Level II to perform Liquid Penetrant, Visual Weld, and Radiographic Weld inspections. The successful candidate will process hardware according to internal, customer, and industry requirements while evaluating and interpreting the quality of fusion weld, machined, and forged products to meet specifications. Additionally, the role involves supporting other NDT personnel and mentoring trainees and Level I technicians.
ResponsibilitiesPerform proper warm-up and system performance checks of NDT equipment.Maintain daily, monthly logs and applicable records to ensure traceability of components.Interpret and evaluate NDT results with respect to applicable codes, standards, and specifications.Participate in NDT system, customer, internal, and NADCAP audits.Provide on-the-job training and guidance to NDT trainees and Level I personnel.Perform level I duties in addition to level II duties.Write work instructions, techniques, and other documentation.Schedule production jobs to meet Operations demands.Process and approve SWRs for the NDT department inspectors.Provide status updates regarding progress and delays to the NDT Supervisor/Manager.Verify that all equipment calibrations are current.Monitor the department for on-time delivery.Comply with other assigned duties.Overtime may be required to meet the production schedule.Essential SkillsHigh School diploma or equivalent.Successful completion of ASNT Level I, II courses.Documentation demonstrating completion of minimum hours of formal classroom training and experience in each NDT method requiring certification.Qualifications based on SNT TC-1A and NAS 410.Familiarity with the scope and limitations of NDT methods.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings/blueprints.Experience with stainless steel alloys, titanium, aluminum.Familiarity with NADCAP audits.Good written and verbal communication skills.Effective interpersonal skills across organizational levels.Ability to lift 50 lbs.Additional Skills & QualificationsFamiliarity with AWS, ASTM, Boeing, Rolls Royce, Lockheed Martin is a plus.Why Work Here?

The company specializes in designing, developing, and manufacturing ducting systems for aircraft and propulsion lines for rockets. The work environment includes high and low-pressure metallic ducting systems, and the company is a primary source of rocket propulsion lines for NASA and the U.S. space launch system industry.
