NDT Lead (Weekend Shift)

 RT Level II (also known as an NDT Technician Lead) performs all tasks associated with industrial radiography.  

Have the skill and knowledge to standardize equipment and process parts. interpret and evaluate for acceptance or rejection, and document results. Be thoroughly familiar with scope and limitations of the technique/method. Be familiar with codes, standards, and other contractual documents that control the method as utilized by the employer. Provide guidance to trainees and Level 1 personnel in the method Have skills and knowledge to conduct system performance checks in accordance with the applicable process standard. Be capable of providing the necessary guidance and/or supervision to trainees and Level 1 personnel. Be familiar with applicable codes, standards, and contractual documents. Be capable of developing work instructions from the approved general procedure. Such work instructions shall require final approval by the Level 3 certified within the method. Have a basic knowledge of relevant product manufacturing and product knowledge. Able to perform all tasks associated with industrial radiography per ASTM E1742 (film) and ASTM E2698 (DDA) including, but not limited to: Setting up the radiograph exposures. Processing radiographs/radiographic images. Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Qualifications – External/internal:

High school or equivalent with the following requirements: 4 Years documented as a RT (digital) Level 2 per NAS410 (or equivalent) 40 hours formal training as RT (Digital) Level 2 per NAS410  1000 hours on the job experience in radiography. Ability to obtain a certificate in Hazardous Material/Waste and Transportation. Ability to obtain a DOD security clearance if required. NADCAP audit Basic computer skills required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
