NDT Level II – North Slope, AK

POSITION SUMMARY:

The NDE level II Technician will perform non-destructive testing of piping systems and fixed equipment primarily to detect corrosion/erosion.  This position will assist in code work as needed but will primarily be performing thickness testing using CR/DR profile and Ultrasonic Testing.  The work schedule will be a rotational hitch of 21 days on followed by 21 days off or 14 days on followed by 14 days off.  Daily work shifts will be 12 hours.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Current level II Computed/Digital Radiography profile OR code certification Current IRRSP or state card Current Ultrasonic Thickness Testing Level II with 80 hours of formal training and corrosion/erosion scanning experience Current level I or higher Rope Access certification IRATA or willingness to obtain CR Level II Code, UTSW, MT, PT Level II’s are all preferred Ability to follow and draft standard piping isometric drawings Must have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent and valid driver’s license

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS:

Must be able to routinely lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to tolerate working in extreme climates (subzero temperatures) for extended periods of time Must be comfortable working in cramped or confined spaces.
