**Job Title: NDT Level II** **Job Description** As an NDT Level II Inspector, you will be responsible for performing non-destructive testing (NDT) using various methods including PT (II) and MT (II). You must have documented qualification/certification to the Level II requirements for ASNT's SNT-TC-1A, 2001 Edition or later, and have passed written general theory and procedure-specific examinations for the applicable method(s). Additionally, you must pass practical examinations demonstrating your ability to operate the necessary NDT equipment, and to record and analyze the resultant information. A visual acuity exam using Jaeger 1 letters at a distance of not less than 12 inches within the last year is required. You need a minimum of 4 years of documented continuous experience as a certified inspector in the applicable inspection method(s). PT (II) and MT (II) inspectors must be Safety Harness and Respirator qualified and familiar with OSHA regulations relative to the shipbuilding industry. **Hard Skills** + NDT + Visual Testing + Magnetic Particle Testing **Job Type** This is a contract position with a duration of 2 Year(s). **Work Site** This is a fully on-site position in Newport News, Virginia. **Work Environment** Shipyard. The yard stretches over 5 miles long and is located in Southeast Virginia. It is very hot and muggy during the summer and cool during the winter. All work will be performed on a Navy vessel or in a shop environment.
